There have been different laws and rights based upon gender. Certain experiences affect women differently than men, and leave women more vulnerable in certain instances.

Even in the 21st century, there are laws, social norms and a lack of services that show bias against women. Organizations such as Femen and the National Organization for Women are well aware of these circumstances, and fervently fight to correct society’s injustice toward women.

Hispanics are a persecuted group within the United States. Interestingly, the Spanish used to own land that is now apart of the United States. They used to own places like Florida, the Southwest and California. However, over time American borders receded westward and southward, resulting in the current border that now exists.

This border is frequently crossed by undocumented immigrants who desire a better life for themselves and their families. From the time immigrants enter the rugged terrain of the border, they face a lifetime of unique needs and vulnerabilities. When they are in the dry desert, they need food and water.

When they enter the United States, they still need food and water, though their needs fan out to needing a job and needing money. In the long term, their needs fan out to needing education, needing emotional support, forming communities and resisting discrimination.

Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey’s minds have been wholly enlightened to this struggle, and have strung together the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund to help.

Blacks were ripped away from Africa and shipped all over the Western Hemisphere. Millions of their descendants still live in the Western Hemisphere. In some countries, cities and regions, they live as minorities while in other places they are the majority of the population. They have disproportionately high levels of violence in their countries, neighborhoods and cities.

They are prejudged as being incapable of intellectual pursuits, and are objectified as objects that are supposed to be less sexually desirable. They suffer from extreme stereotyping. If you expose yourself to enough Black people, you will quickly learn that there is a diverse range of political views, religions and personalities among Blacks. Organizations such as Black Lives Matter, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Anti-Defamation League and the NAACP strive to protect the rights of Blacks.
